What Are You Doing?

A talk show that featured interesting Mainers doing interesting things whether in government, art, education, business, innovation or technology. Interviews were originally broadcast live on WMHB 89.7 FM in Waterville, ME (streaming online at wmhbradio.org) and may occassionally re-air on that station.

Ep 8: Shannon Haines, Maine International Film Festival Director

Shannon Haines is gearing up for her 13th Maine International Film Festival as festival director, and has seen a cinema community sprout in otherwise sleepy Waterville over her time. We recount why MIFF is and will be a Waterville staple, what the festival means to the community, and why you should probably think about buying a ticket or two. We also discuss how Shannon, who is not a film maker, and didn’t study film, has grown MIFF’s success by basing it on community.
